I do all my paintings from photographs, and the quality really is important - the clearer, in-focus, and close-up the picture, the more chance I have of getting a good result!

I've just completed commissions for cat-lovers in Switzerland and the United States, as well as many here in Britain.

I always say to people that if they're not happy with the end result when I send them a small print of the final work, then they don't need to go ahead with the commission.

I work in pastels and designer gouache, and produce artworks on artists' cartridge paper.
